Tour Options
Upon booking, choose between a daytime or sunset boat trip.
Daytime Boat Trip
After arriving at the dock, five minutes from the Cologne Cathedral, we will sail on our boat trip along the River Rhine at your chosen time. The cruise includes an audio guide in English, accessible via a QR code you can download on the boat.
Cologne, one of Germany's oldest cities, dates back to a Roman colony in the 1st century AD. During the boat trip, listen to the audio guide in English and seven other languages covering the history of Cologne and interesting facts about its main monuments.
This cruise offers panoramic views of the city. Enjoy the wooden Frankenwerft promenade and see the traditional coloured houses at Fischmarkt square. We’ll visit the Hohenzollern Bridge, the Cologne Cathedral, and Twelve Romanesque churches in the Old Quarter.
After an hour, we’ll return to our starting point.
Sunset Boat Trip
Departing from the Trankgassenwerft pier, we’ll cruise the Rhine during sunset. This tour does not include an audio guide.
For 2 hours, admire the medieval buildings of the old town and the silhouette of the Hohenzollern Bridge as dusk falls. The cathedral and the bell towers of the Romanesque basilicas will rise above the rooftops, along with the colourful houses at Fischmarkt square and the tree-lined riverbank.
Enjoy a different view of the city, and refreshments are available at the bar on board. We will return to the starting point at the end of the boat trip.
