Private Tour of Cologne
At your chosen time, we will meet at Domtreppen, in front of Cologne Cathedral, where the tour will begin. We will admire the Gothic façade of the church, standing 157 metres tall.
A short distance away is the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen, where the guide will share the legend of the fountain's elf sculptures. We will then proceed to Rathausplatz and Alter Markt, visiting the Old City Hall built 900 years ago over a Roman praetorium.
Continuing through the gardens by the Rhine River, we will arrive at the Fish Market, a charming square. Next, we will explore the history of the Willi Ostermann Brunnen Fountain, before passing by the Wallraf-Richartz and Kolumba museums, the latter integrating the ruins of St Kolumba Church.
We will make a stop at one of the oldest perfumeries in Cologne, the Dufthaus 4711, and view the façade of EL-DE Haus, the former Gestapo headquarters now a museum. The tour concludes at the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum and the Römerbrunnen fountain after two hours.
