Are you in Tortuguero and looking for an authentic experience in Costa Rica's jungle? In that case, we'll meet in front of the football field in the area to begin this hiking trail by night. We'll hand out the torches and set off, venturing into the Tortuguero Jungle.

Most animals in tropical jungles are more active at night. In the darkness and silence, the noises made by animals will become more evident. Stay alert as we show you how to identify frogs, snakes, sloths, iguanas, armadillos, and spiders. If we're lucky, we might even spot a rodent or perhaps the popular peccaries or tatabros.

We'll conclude the hike after 2 to 3 hours at the initial starting point.
