On this guided tour of the Capricho de Gaudí, we explore the villa and learn about its history and construction.

Tour Details

We will meet at the ticket office of the Capricho de Gaudí (Villa Quijano) at the designated time to begin our tour of this notable villa in Comillas.

Before entering the villa, we will observe its decorative facade, noting the combination of oriental, Gothic, Islamic, Nasrid, and Mudejar elements. The structure features a prominent tower that stands 20 meters high.

We will walk through the gardens of the Capricho de Gaudí before entering the villa to view its interior decoration, including carved wooden furniture, colorful stained glass windows, railings with musical motifs, and ceramics.

During the tour, we will discuss the villa's history, having been declared an "Asset of Cultural Interest" in 1969. This villa is one of the few designed by Gaudí outside Catalonia and nearly fell into ruins after the Spanish Civil War.

After 45 minutes of touring, we will conclude our visit outside the Capricho de Gaudí.
