Baradello Castle Private Visit
On the Baradello Castle private visit, participants will learn about the history of this important monument in Lombardy. The tour begins at Piazza Camerleta, near Baradello Castle, located in Spina Verde Park on a hill. Upon arrival, guests will explore different spaces within the castle, commissioned by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, built on 6th-century Byzantine ruins.
Guests will visit the square Romanesque tower, the best-preserved structure in the complex, standing at 92 feet (28 metres) tall, providing views of Como and its lake, and the surrounding Alps, Po Valley, and Apennines. An optional tour with an aperitif includes local snacks and a bottle of wine for three people while enjoying views from the terrace of the Frederick rampart.
The tour lasts 2 hours before returning to the starting point.
