Description

At the designated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Belo Horizonte to drive to the Rei do Mato Cave in Sete Lagoas. This cave measures 998 metres (3274 ft.) in length and is among the largest in Minas Gerais. A 220-metre (721 ft.) tour will showcase its unique stalactites and stalagmites.

Following this, we will travel to the Maquiné Cave in Codisburgo, known as the cradle of palaeontology in Brazil. The cave features 7 natural galleries, providing ample opportunities for photography.

After exploring, you will have one hour of free time for lunch. Once you have finished, we will head to the Guimarães Rosa Museum-House in Codisburgo, the former residence of author João Guimarães Rosa, which houses an exhibition of over 700 pieces related to his life and work. You may find inspiration to read his books after the visit.

We will conclude our tour with a return to Belo Horizonte after a total duration of 10 hours.
