Sabará + Congonhas Tour

After hotel pickup in Belo Horizonte at the specified time, we will head east from the capital of Minas Gerais.

The first stop is in Sabará, where a guided tour of the old town will take place. Highlights include Dom Pedro II street, the church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos, the Municipal Theatre, and the churches of Nossa Senhora do Ó and Nossa Senhora do Carmo.

Next, we will visit the Kaquende fountain, known for its legend that drinkers will always return to Sabará. The tour concludes with an hour for lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will proceed to Congonhas to explore the local museum and the sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos. Additionally, we will see the Passos da Paixão, which features 66 processional steps by renowned artists including Aleijadinho. The sculptures of the Twelve Prophets by Aleijadinho will also be viewed.

Finally, we will return to Belo Horizonte, with arrival at your hotel scheduled 10 hours after pickup.
