La Serena & Coquimbo Tour

On this tour of La Serena and Coquimbo, we'll visit two historic cities on the coast of Latin America's Southern Cone.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Serena to start the tour. La Serena is one of the oldest cities in Chile. Along the route, we'll discuss important facts about the country.

We'll begin in the old town of La Serena, exploring its history by walking among colonial mansions. We will see Plaza de Armas, the Archaeological Museum, and La Recova Market.

The tour continues along Avenida Francisco de Aguirre to visit the Open Air Museum of La Serena and the Monumental Lighthouse, the iconic landmark of La Serena.

We will drive along Avenida del Mar and Avenida Costanera towards Coquimbo, enjoying views of the El Culebrón wetland and the Mosque, a replica of one in Morocco.

In Coquimbo, we will walk through the historic centre, visiting the English Quarter and the Central Square, discussing the indigenous people and colonization.

We will then head to the village of La Herradura, stopping at Fort Lambert and the Cruz del Tercer Milenio. Bring your camera!

Finally, we will visit Totoralillo Beach, where you’ll have free time to relax before returning to La Serena.

After approximately 6 hours, we’ll conclude the tour and return to your hotel.
