Valle del Encanto Tour

On this tour of the Valle del Encanto, we'll depart from La Serena to visit an area with human traces dating back to 2000 BC.

Description

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Serena and begin our journey along the Costa de los Piratas to the Valle del Encanto.

On the way, you can choose to make a stop at the Limari Archaeological Museum or proceed directly to the valley. The museum displays archaeological pieces from the valley and features collections from 5 pre-Hispanic cultures.

Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive at the entrance to the Valle del Encanto. This semi-arid enclave became an archaeological site in the 1970s, with remains over 4,000 years old. We will discuss the significance of the engravings on the stones, which hold historical importance.

During the walk, you will see small stones with perforations, which are an example of rock art in Chile. You will have the opportunity to observe some of the largest monuments of this type in the country.

After exploring the archaeological site, we will meet for lunch at a typical Chilean restaurant. We will conclude our 7-hour trip by returning to La Serena and dropping you off at your hotel.
