Join us on a journey through an Argentine city's history and architecture on our Córdoba Churches Tour. We'll visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption and churches belonging to Capuchin and Jesuit orders.

Córdoba Churches Tour

At your chosen time, we'll meet at your hotel in central Córdoba. From there, we'll walk to San Martín Square and visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, a main Catholic building in the province.

Inside the Cathedral, we'll observe the Renaissance decoration from colonial times. We'll note the details on its barrel vault and the impressive high altar with embossed silver from Upper Peru. During our tour, we will pause in front of the tombs of dean Gregorio Funes and aristocrat Margarita Weild.

Just a few feet from the cathedral, we'll visit the Church of Saint Teresa and the Monastery of Saint José de las Carmelitas Descalzas. Our tour continues to the Church of the Society of Jesus, the oldest church in Córdoba, which has been declared a World Heritage Site.

The last stop is the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, also known as Los Capuchinos Church. This neo-Gothic church, built in the first half of the 20th century, features vaults decorated with stars and art depicting the life of Saint Francis of Assisi.

After 2 hours 30 minutes, the tour ends at Los Capuchinos Church. You can climb the bell tower for panoramic views if you wish.

Meeting point

Our walking tour starts from your hotel in the city centre. If you're outside the centre, you'll need to reach the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption in San Martín Square. The guide will be at the main entrance, where Independencia and San Jerónimo Streets intersect.
