Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet in central Cordoba and embark on a tour of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba.
We will explore the Mosque-Cathedral, learning about Abd al-Rahman I, who founded the Muslim dynasty of Iberia and initiated construction in the 8th century.
We'll admire the mosque’s dome and mihrab, highlighting the era of Abd al-Rahman III and its transformation into a Roman Catholic Cathedral following the conquest by King Ferdinand III of Castile.
After the Mosque-Cathedral visit, we will conduct a walking tour of Cordoba’s Jewish Quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring whitewashed houses.
During the walking tour, we will visit the Synagogue of Cordoba, one of the few remaining Medieval Jewish temples in Spain.
Finally, after 2.5 hours, the tour will conclude at the starting point, or you may continue exploring the Jewish Quarter at your leisure.
