Córdoba Jesuit Block Tour

Our tour begins at the courtyard of the Historical Museum of the National University of Córdoba at your chosen time. This institution, founded by the Society of Jesus in 1613, is the oldest university in Argentina and among the oldest in Latin America.

In the UNC cloister, we will see the sculpture of Friar Fernando Trejo y Sanabria. The visit continues to the Salón de Grados (former Chapel of the Spaniards) and the Main Library, which holds a significant bibliography.

After UNC, we will observe notable buildings such as the Colegio Nacional de Monserrat and the Church of the Society of Jesus, where we will see the main altarpiece featuring St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier.

The tour concludes with a visit to the Jesuit Domestic Chapel, built in the 17th century, to learn more about the Jesuit legacy in Córdoba. After 2 hours 30 minutes of sightseeing, we will wrap up on Colón Avenue, where we'll visit the Jesuit Crypt of the Old Novitiate.
