Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the meeting point to begin our tour of the Jewish quarter of Cordoba.
The Jewish population in Cordoba dates back to Roman times when the city's walled perimeter was established, organizing and urbanizing the Jewish Quarter.
With the arrival of the Muslims, the Jewish population gained influence, as key buildings were located in their area. They continued to occupy this area until their expulsion during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs.
During our tour, we'll visit the Plaza de Maimonides and learn about its historical names, including Plaza de los Armentas and Plaza del Arcediano, where the Bullfighting Museum is situated.
We'll explore winding narrow streets, some leading to dead ends, reflecting medieval urban development. Key sites for followers of the Star of David, such as the synagogue, the municipal souk, and the market, will also be included.
After an hour of exploring, we'll return to the starting point.
