Discover the history of the Jewish community on this tour of the Jewish quarter of Cordoba.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the meeting point to begin our tour of the Jewish quarter of Cordoba. The tour covers the historical presence of the Jewish population from Roman times, emphasizing the urbanization of the area during the Augustan era when the city walls were established. With the arrival of Muslims, the Jewish population gained influence and occupied this area until their expulsion by the Catholic Monarchs.
During the tour, we will visit the Plaza de Maimonides, exploring its historical names, including Plaza de los Armentas and Plaza del Arcediano. The Bullfighting Museum is also located here. We will navigate winding, narrow streets, including locations significant to the Jewish community, such as the municipal souk and the market.
After an hour of exploring the Jewish Quarter of Cordoba, we will return to the starting point.
