Modern Cordoba Tour

We'll meet at a time of your choosing at your hotel in central Cordoba. From there, we'll walk to Vélez Sarsfield square to view the Renaissance facade of the Archbishop's Palace. Next to its main entrance, we will see the Intelligent Building, notable for its glass and steel exterior, contrasting with the archbishop's seat.

Continuing along Avenida Hipólito Yrigoyen, we will pass the Anthropology Museum and the modern cultural centre Paseo del Buen Pastor, opened in 2007. Here, you can take photographs in front of the famous dancing water fountain.

Adjacent to the cultural centre, we will see the façade of the church of the Sagrado Corazón, also known as the church of the Capuchins, recognized as a significant neo-Gothic monument in Cordoba. The next stop will be the Palacio Ferreyra, where we will visit the Museo Superior de Bellas Artes "Evita" and its French neoclassical interior decoration.

The "Evita" museum is located in Plaza de España, where we will also observe the façade of the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts "Emilio Caraffa." We will discuss the distinctive characteristics of both buildings' exteriors.

After a three-hour tour, we will conclude at the Coniferal viewpoint, enjoying views of the Eiffel wheel, believed to be built by the same workshop as the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

This walking tour starts from your hotel in the city centre. If you are in more remote areas, you should go directly to Vélez Sarsfield square, where the guide will meet you at the central monument, at the intersection of Hipólito Yrigoyen and Vélez Sarsfield avenues.
