Mosque-Cathedral & Alcázar Guided Tour

We'll meet at 10 am at Plaza del Triunfo, near the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. After learning about its origins, we'll set off on a guided tour of its interior.

During our tour of this historic place of worship, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we'll visit the extensions ordered by emirs like Abderramán III and Alhakén II and walk through the iconic forest of columns to the mihrab, the beautifully decorated prayer niche.

We'll also visit the nave of the transept before heading to the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos. Here we will review the history of this medieval fortress, including remains dating back to Roman times.

Inside the Alcázar, we will visit the Hall of the Mosaics and explore the Alcázar Gardens, featuring Andalusian-style fountains and the sculpture of the Catholic Monarchs meeting Christopher Columbus.

After 3 to 3.5 hours of touring, our guided tour will conclude at the main entrance of the Alcázar.

Important Info

Please note that due to structural reform inside the Alcázar of Córdoba, access to certain rooms under construction will be restricted. As an alternative, we'll explore its historic gardens and the Monolito de Cristóbal Colón, and complete the experience with a visit to the Caliphal Baths.
