Narrow, winding, and filled with charm. Explore the whitewashed streets of Cordoba's Jewish Quarter on this guided tour which also includes a visit to the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos.
Alcazar & Jewish Quarter Guided Tour Itinerary
At the scheduled time, you'll set off from the Puerta del Perdoón in central Cordoba for a walking route around this World Heritage Site. You'll start by visiting the Puerta de Almodóvar, a gateway built into the ancient Roman walls. Here you will find a statue of Seneca, a Roman philosopher, and another of Averroes, the celebrated Arab thinker.
Next, you will explore the narrow streets of Cordoba's Jewish Quarter, home to a statue of the famous Jewish philosopher, astronomer, and physician Maimonides.
Subsequently, you will proceed to the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, also known as the Castle of the Christian Monarchs. On your guided tour, you will enjoy the Moorish gardens and see a sculpture commemorating the meeting of Christopher Columbus with Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand. The guided tour will conclude after around 2.5 hours.
Partial Closures
Due to structural reforms inside the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, access to the rooms under construction will not be allowed. Instead, the tour will focus on its historic gardens and the Christopher Columbus monolith, along with a visit to the Baths of the Caliphate Alcázar.
