Cork Harbour Boat Cruise

At the indicated time, we’ll meet at Custom House Quay in Cork City to board our boat. Cork Harbour, located at the mouth of the River Lee, is the world's second-largest natural harbour.

Our adventure begins on the Cailín Óir ferry, which provides 360-degree views from the top deck, ensuring a comprehensive view of Cork Harbour and beyond. As we set sail, we’ll admire the natural harbour, featuring iconic islands and vibrant houses.

Throughout the tour, we'll explore the rich history of Cork Harbour, noting that many Irish emigrants passed through it during the Great Famine, and that the RMS Titanic anchored here before its sinking.

We will sail up the River Lee and through the Lough, passing local villages including Passage West, Monkstown, and Ringaskiddy. Notable sights include Blackrock Castle, a fortification from the 16th century that now houses an observatory and visitor center.

Next, we’ll pass Haulbowline Island, which has served as a military base since 1602 and is now home to the Irish Naval Service. The island is also where the Royal Cork Yacht Club, the world's first yacht club, was established.

We continue past Fota Island, home to Ireland’s only wildlife park and Fota House and Gardens. Hot drinks and snacks are available for purchase on board.

After 2 hours of exploration, we return to Custom House Quay, concluding our tour. Slán!
