Ticket to the Coucy Castle

When in northern France, secure your ticket to Coucy Castle, a trip through French history and culture in Picardy.

Why visit the Coucy Castle?

Coucy Castle, located in the Picardy region, is one of the grandest fortresses in northern France. Your entry ticket allows you to explore the remnants of this fortress constructed in the 13th century by Enguerrand III de Boves, aimed at protecting his domain and demonstrating his authority.

Although disassembled in 1652 and used as a stone quarry until acquired by the French State in 1848, preservation efforts were made by various architects, including Viollet-le-Duc. Parts of the castle were destroyed during World War I by the German army. Nonetheless, many remnants stand today, and your ticket enables you to stroll along the perimeter of the fortress, admiring significant remains.

You will also encounter the remains of the castle's former chapel and other architectural elements reflecting the castle's grandeur.
