Ticket to the Coucy Castle

When in northern France, secure your ticket to Coucy Castle, a trip through French history and culture in Picardy.

Why visit the Coucy Castle?

Located in the Picardy region, Coucy Castle is one of the grandest fortresses in northern France. Your entry ticket allows you to explore the remnants of this 13th-century bastion, built by Enguerrand III de Boves to safeguard his domain and showcase his authority.

Although dismantled in 1652 and used as a stone quarry until acquired by the French State in 1848, architects like Viollet-le-Duc later preserved its ruins. The castle suffered additional destruction during World War I when various watchtowers were destroyed by the German army.

Despite its partial destruction, visitors can still admire the remaining structures. Your ticket allows you to stroll along the perimeter and explore the remains of the castle's former chapel and other architectural elements.
