Calling all cycling aficionados! On this 10-day tour through Chilean Patagonia, we'll cycle the Carretera Austral Sur from Coyhaique to Caleta Tortel.

Carretera Austral Sur 10-Day Bike Tour

Day 1: Coyhaique

Meet at 4 pm at Huella Patagonica hostel in Coyhaique to finalize route details. Prepare bikes and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before resting for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Coyhaique - Villa Cerro Castillo

After breakfast, start a bike tour along Route 7, through Cerro Castillo National Park. Spend the night at a hostel in Villa Cerro Castillo.

Day 3: Villa Cerro Castillo - Murta Valley

Cycle to Laguna Verde via rugged paths, visit the dead forest of the Ibañez River, and enjoy a picnic lunch. Camp at Murta Valley.

Day 4: Murta Valley - Puerto Río Tranquilo

After breakfast, bike through endemic forests and reach the Chilean shore of General Carrera Lake. Enjoy a boat ride through marble chapels and camp in Puerto Río Tranquilo.

Day 5: Puerto Río Tranquilo - Puerto Bertrand

Ride along General Carrera Lake, visit General Carrera Bridge, and reach Puerto Bertrand for overnight stay.

Day 6: Puerto Bertrand - Cochrane

Continue along the Baker River, hike at the confluence of Baker and Neff rivers, and stay overnight in a hostel in Cochrane.

Day 7: Cochrane - Los Ñadis

Cycle past Esmeralda, Juncal, and Chacabuco lakes and camp at Los Ñadis.

Day 8: Los Ñadis - Caleta Tortel

Pass through wetlands to reach Caleta Tortel, known for Guaitecas cypress footbridges, and stay overnight in a hostel.

Day 9: Caleta Tortel - Coyhaique

Return to Coyhaique by minibus after breakfast, expected late afternoon arrival. Overnight at Huella Patagonica hostel.

Day 10: Coyhaique

Breakfast included, concluding the 10-day cycling tour.

Accommodation & meals

Includes 9 nights of accommodation with breakfast in various hostels and campsites listed for each day. Lunches consist of snacks and picnic bags provided during the ride. Dinners are at accommodations or local restaurants and not included in the tour price.

Bike rental

Options available for bike and helmet rental during reservation. Tour can also be booked without equipment.
