Cozumel is much more than just white beaches and reefs. Discover the island's history with this guided tour, where you'll also be able to try its local cuisine and famous tequila.
Cozumel Walking Tour
We'll meet at the Cozumel Military Air Base at the specified time. Accompanied by an expert guide in the history of this Mexican city, we'll visit the most iconic places on Cozumel, Mexico's third biggest island.
Cozumel is known for its impressive diving spots. Although we won't immerse ourselves in the Caribbean sea, we will admire locations that have influenced the development of the population. We'll begin at the Plaza de las Dos Culturas and the Monumento al Mestizaje, where the Spanish first arrived on the island.
Throughout the tour, the guide will provide insights into the city's history and indigenous culture of the Yucatán peninsula. Engage with its traditions by learning about the history of tequila and its significance for the island, along with an opportunity to taste this traditional drink.
Next, we'll explore the Malecón de Cozumel pier, featuring various sculptures and views, including the Monumento de Buzo, representing the island's underwater life.
Our next stop will be the Plaza Central to see the City Hall and the Cozumel Clocktower. The tour concludes with an authentic Mexican lunch at La Choza restaurant.
