Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe Day Trip

  • 4 Stunden
  • Geöffnet am Mo, Mi, Sa

Discover one of the most visited religious destinations in the world on this day trip to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, built in honor of Latin America's patron saint.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and begin the road trip to the north of Mexico City to visit the Villa de Guadalupe, visited by 20 million pilgrims every year in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

At the foot of the Cerro del Tepeyac hill, we'll visit the current Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the second most visited Catholic monument worldwide. This was the chosen place to present the World Cup won in 2010 by the Royal Spanish Football Federation as an offering to the Virgin of Guadalupe.

We'll stop at the former basilica, which currently serves as an expiatory church to Cristo Rey. Next, we'll ascend the Cerro del Tepeyac on a steep staircase until we reach the Capilla del Cerrito, located at the site of the Virgin of Guadalupe's first appearance.

Continuing our tour, we'll arrive at the Capilla del Pocito (Chapel of the Little Well), a notable example of Mexican Baroque art where the chapel's well is believed to have healing properties.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Mexico City and conclude the trip 4 hours later.
