Cuernavaca & Xochicalco Archaeological Site Tour
At 8 am we'll pick you up at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and head to Xochicalco, an important archaeological site in the state of Morelos.
Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Xochicalco represents the Mesoamerican Epiclassic era, marked by the rise of cities in central Mexico following the decline of Teotihuacan. While not as well-known as Chichen Itza or Tulum, Xochicalco features notable pyramids and plazas.
We will explore the archaeological site and visit the Site Museum of Xochicalco to gain insights into the Mayan culture. Following the site tour, we'll proceed to Cuernavaca, where we will visit the 16th-century Franciscan cathedral, one of the oldest in the continent.
After visiting the cathedral, you will have 2 hours of free time for lunch at a local restaurant.
Post-lunch, we will return to the meeting point in Mexico City, arriving around 6 pm.
