Tour Details
We'll pick you up at the indicated time at the Hostal Amigo in Mexico City and head south towards Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl National Park, stopping along the way to buy food for the day.
We will arrive at The Jewel, in Paso de Cortés, where Hernán Cortés first saw the Mexican Valley. From here, we begin our climb, taking a route of intermediate difficulty suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers.
As you climb, you'll enjoy views of the Mexico Valley and surrounding towns. Depending on your physical condition, you can choose your climbing destination: the first mirador is at 3,800 meters above sea level, and the second at 4,300 meters.
One of the major attractions on this trip is the view of Popocatépetl, Mexico's second tallest volcano, surrounded by smoke due to volcanic activity.
We will make a stop for lunch on your own, concluding this 11-hour activity with a return to the meeting point in Mexico City.
