Excursion to Cuernavaca & Tepoztlán

On this excursion from Mexico City, we'll travel to the state of Morelos to visit 2 of its most important towns: the Cuernavaca Cathedral and the Magical Town of Tepoztlán.

Excursion to Cuernavaca & Tepoztlán

At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel Sheraton María Isabel? and take a minibus to Cuernavaca, the capital of Morelos.

After an hour and a half drive, we'll arrive and take a guided tour of the Cuernavaca Cathedral, known for its 16th-century colonial architecture and frescoes.

After touring the cathedral, we'll head to the Magical Town of Tepoztlán, where we will explore its streets and learn about the local legends along with the scenic mountain views. Tepoztlán is said to be the birthplace of Quetzalcoatl, the god of the Aztecs. We will also visit the Tepozteco Archaeological Site, the local market, and the old Dominican Convent of the Nativity.

After the guided tour, you'll have 2 hours of free time to enjoy Mexican food in a local restaurant and continue your exploration. We will reconvene and return to the starting point, arriving around 6 pm.
