Allow yourself to be seduced by the authentic tastes of Mexican food on this tour through the heart of Mexico City, where you'll visit a local market to learn all about the essential ingredients.

Mexico City Food Tour

The tour meets at the main entrance to the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City at 1:20 pm. We'll take the subway to Jamaica Market, where vibrant stalls and unique aromas await. The market, inaugurated in the 50s, features kiosks filled with flowers, nuts, vegetables, sweet treats, piñatas, and more. Here, visitors can find quality traditional kitchen utensils or souvenirs.

The next phase involves tasting exotic fruits such as carambola, mamey, or chicozapote, paired with cheese and mole. Guides will explain how to prepare and enjoy these items in traditional Mexican fashion, offering a complete cultural immersion.

Participants will also learn about the properties of healing plants and local alternative medicine, as well as the meanings of various flowers, many of which are edible.

The Mexico City food tour concludes at 5:30 pm.
