At 7:45 am, we will meet outside the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel to board a minibus for a two-hour journey to Mineral del Chico. During the trip, we will pass through Chico National Park, where we can admire a diverse range of trees from America and Europe.

Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of the mining town, observing key monuments such as the neoclassical Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción church.

On our way to explore one of the mines, we will see Casa de las Brujas and Montaña de las Monjas, named the House of the Witches and the Mountain of the Nuns, respectively. The tour will reveal the stories behind these names.

At the mine, we will venture over a kilometre inside to learn about the daily life of the miners.

Following the mine visit, we will return to the village to explore its gastronomic market and enjoy lunch, with a recommendation to try the large 30-centimetre quesadillas.

We will then board the minibus for our return to Mexico City, expected around 6 pm.
