Paso de Cortés Hiking Excursion

The hiking excursion through the Paso de Cortés starts at 7 am at Michoacán Market in Mexico City. A minibus will take participants to the Izta-Popo Zoquiapan National Park. The trail covers 11 kilometers between the Popocatépetl and Ixtaccíhuatl volcanoes, showcasing volcanic rock areas, rivers, and waterfalls.

Participants will have the opportunity to observe local fauna, including coatis and volcano rabbits, in the dense coniferous forests. A light lunch, consisting of a sandwich, fruit, an energy bar, and water, will be provided before returning to Mexico City. The excursion concludes around 6 pm.
