Taxco and Cuernavaca Day Trip Itinerary
After meeting at the scheduled time, we'll head southwards to arrive at Cuernavaca. Once in Cuernavaca, we'll begin our tour, admiring the colonial style and beautiful squares of the historic center, stopping at the cathedral, founded by Franciscan monks and considered one of the oldest in America, and the Cortés palace, which contains the Cauhnáhuac Museum.
The tour continues towards Taxco, a colonial city with winding cobbled streets. We will explore its historic center, visiting the major religious building in the region, the Santa Prisca, one of the largest churches in Mexico.
After the tour, you'll have 1 hour of free time to have lunch and explore the city center at your own pace. Taxco is known as the world's silver capital, and the silver mines and artisanal shops are highlights where you can buy local silver products at reasonable prices.
