Taxco and Cuernavaca Day Trip

On this day trip we'll explore the colonial city of Taxco and its silver mines, as well as visit Cuernavaca, "the city of eternal springtime", where we will see one of the oldest cathedrals in America.

Taxco and Cuernavaca Day Trip Itinerary

After meeting up at the scheduled time, we'll head south to Cuernavaca. Once in Cuernavaca, we'll admire the colonial architecture and squares of the historic center, stopping at the cathedral, founded by Franciscan monks and among the oldest in America, and the Cortés Palace, home to the Cauhnáhuac Museum.

The tour continues to Taxco, a hilltop colonial city with cobbled streets and squares. We'll visit the major religious site in the region, Santa Prisca, one of Mexico's largest churches.

After the tour, you'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch and to explore the city center at your own pace. Taxco, known as the world’s silver capital, features silver mines and artisanal shops where local products can be purchased at reasonable prices.

This tour includes pickup from hotels located in the following tourist areas of Mexico City: historic center, Polanco, and Zona Rosa. If your hotel is outside these areas, we will meet you at the Hotel Emporio Reforma.
