On this day trip, we will explore the colonial city of Taxco and its silver mines, along with a visit to Cuernavaca, known as "the city of eternal springtime," where we will see one of the oldest cathedrals in America.

Taxco and Cuernavaca Day Trip Itinerary

After meeting at the scheduled time, we will head south to Cuernavaca. Once there, we will admire the colonial style and beautiful squares of the historic center, stopping at the cathedral founded by Franciscan monks and the Cortés palace, home of conquistador Hernán Cortés and now housing the Cauhnáhuac Museum.

Next, we will proceed to Taxco, a colonial city located on a hill with winding cobbled streets. In the historic center, we will see the major religious building, the Santa Prisca, one of the largest churches in Mexico.

After the tour, you will have 1 hour of free time for lunch and to explore the city center at your own pace. Taxco is known as the world's silver capital, and its silver mines and artisanal shops offer local silver products at reasonable prices.
