On this day trip we'll get to know the colonial city of Taxco and its silver mines, as well as visiting Cuernavaca, "the city of eternal springtime" where we will see one of the oldest cathedrals in America.
Taxco and Cuernavaca Day Trip Itinerary
After meeting at the scheduled time, we'll head south to Cuernavaca, known for its warm climate. In Cuernavaca, we'll tour the historic center, visiting the cathedral founded by Franciscan monks and the Cortés palace, which houses the Cauhnáhuac Museum.
The tour continues to Taxco, a colonial city with winding cobbled streets. We'll explore the historic center and visit the major religious site, the Santa Prisca, one of Mexico's largest churches.
After the tour, you'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch and to explore the city center at your own pace. Taxco is noted as the world's silver capital, with silver mines and artisanal shops where local products can be purchased at reasonable prices.
