Teotihuacán, Guadalupe Basílica & Tlatelolco Day Trip
After meeting at your selected meeting point in the centre of Mexico City, we'll begin our 8.5-hour tour of notable sights in the Mexican capital.
The first stop will be Tlatelolco, an archaeological site that was part of the capital of the Aztec empire. We will visit the Plaza de Tres Culturas, where prehispanic and colonial influences meet modern architecture. Here, you can see Aztec pyramids, the viceroy's convent, and contemporary buildings.
Next, we will head north to Villa Guadalupe, one of the world's most visited pilgrimage sites. We will explore the current Guadalupe Basilica, built for the patron saint of Latin America, as well as the old basilica, spending approximately an hour and a half at these temples.
We will then visit Teotihuacán, the most visited archaeological site in Mexico. A lunch stop at a local restaurant will be included. The tour proceeds through the Road of the Dead, exploring the City of the Gods, including Quetzalpápalotl Palace and Quetzalcoatl Temple, with some free time to explore this sacred site on your own.
The tour concludes back in Mexico City.
