Activity Overview

Commencing at your selected point in Mexico City, we will board a minibus that will transport us to the designated launch site for the hot air balloon flight over Teotihuacán.

Upon arrival, you'll witness how the balloon is inflated, a perfect moment to enjoy a coffee to gear up for the adventure ahead. Then, we'll step into the basket and ascend into the skies.

As we soar over the Teotihuacán Valley, marvel at some of the nation’s most significant archaeological sites. The duration of the flight will range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, influenced by weather conditions.

From this vantage point, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Avenue of the Dead, the Pyramid of the Moon, the Pyramid of the Sun, and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl.

After landing, we'll enjoy a celebratory toast with sparkling wine paired with a delicious buffet breakfast at La Higuera restaurant. You'll also receive a certificate to commemorate your inaugural balloon flight.

Furthermore, you’ll have 2 hours of free time to explore the Teotihuacán ruins on foot, uncovering the mysteries of this ancient city of the gods. Should you choose the guided option, an expert on Mexica culture will accompany you.

Additionally, a craft workshop will enlighten you about the traditions of Teotihuacán. You’ll learn about the significance of obsidian and the agave plant, observe how aguamiel is processed, and discover silver crafting techniques. The day concludes with a taste of local beverages, including pulque, tequila, nopal liqueur, and mezcal.

At the end of this enriching 8-hour journey, we will return to Mexico City via minibus.

Departure from Teotihuacán

If you wish to explore Teotihuacán independently, you may select the option that includes only the balloon flight. Note that this option does not cover transport from Mexico City, guides, entrance fees, or breakfast. In this case, you will need to arrive at the balloon launch site by 6 am at 55850 San Martín de las Pirámides, Méx., Mexico.

We advise booking your flight for the first available date, allowing rescheduling should weather limitations arise.Routes may vary with wind conditions, and it's possible to deviate from flying directly over the ruins of Teotihuacan.The pricing accommodates guests weighing up to 99 kg (218 lbs). An extra charge of 3 USD will apply for each kilogram exceeding this limit, payable at the launch site.If adverse weather prevents the flight, a refund will be issued, deducting 420MXN per passenger for ground transport.Your comfort and safety are ensured as the balloons are not overcrowded.
