Tolantongo Caves Excursion

Embark on a trip to the Tolantongo Caves from Mexico City, departing at 6 am from Hostel Amigo. The journey to the famous Grutas Tolantongo in Hidalgo takes approximately four hours by minibus.

Upon arrival, you'll have five hours to unwind at this natural spa nestled at an altitude of nearly 4,200 feet (1,280 meters) above sea level. Marvel at the 1,640-foot deep canyon with cascading waterfalls creating turquoise pools against a backdrop of mountains and unique vegetation.

Explore a tunnel among the rocks, swim in a cave, stroll along the Tolantongo River, and enjoy the Hidden Paradise for a rejuvenating bath. Admire panoramic views by crossing a suspension bridge before heading back to Mexico City at 8 pm.
