Description

We'll kick off the adventure by picking you up at your hotel in Cuenca at the scheduled time. The excursion includes a visit to Cajas National Park and Cacao de la Loma.

The first stop is Cajas National Park, a designated World Heritage Site. You'll hike through the Polylepis forest, a protected area and primary water source for Cuenca.

Throughout the journey, we'll traverse the continental divide, with stops to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. A highlight will be a view of the park's 200-plus glacial lakes. A midday break includes lunch at a restaurant.

The tour continues with a visit to a vibrant market, where you can experience local life and taste exotic fruits such as bananas, tangerines, coconuts, dragon fruit, and passion fruit.

Next, we visit Cacao de la Loma, a family farm cultivating cocoa beans. You will learn about cocoa—the primary ingredient for crafting chocolate.

Before concluding the tour, we will serve a trout dish with rice or salad and a refreshing beverage. After 7 to 8 hours, we will drop you off at your hotel or designated point in Guayaquil.
