Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cuenca at the scheduled time to kick off this day trip to Ingapirca, Gualaceo, and Chordeleg. Our journey through the Ecuadorian highlands will begin with views along the way. After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll reach Ingapirca, Ecuador's most significant Inca archaeological site. Here, we'll embark on a guided tour of the early 16th-century citadel and see the Temple of the Sun.

We'll pause for a lunch break where you can enjoy lunch at any local restaurants nearby. Afterward, we'll set off for Gualaceo and Chordeleg, known for their artisanal works.

In Chordeleg, we'll visit an artisan workshop where Ecuador's finest filigree is produced and you’ll have free time to browse the shop. The last stop is a family workshop in Gualaceo, where we'll see the process of weaving shawls and ponchos on antique looms and learn about the use of dyes extracted from regional plants.

After 9 hours of culture and adventure, we'll return you to your hotel in Cuenca.
