Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cuenca at the scheduled time for this day trip. The journey through the Ecuadorian highlands lasts approximately an hour and 15 minutes until we reach Ingapirca, Ecuador's most significant Inca archaeological site. A guided tour of the early 16th-century citadel and the Temple of the Sun will follow.
Afterward, a lunch break will allow you to enjoy a meal at local restaurants. We'll then continue to Gualaceo and Chordeleg, villages known for their artisanal works.
In Chordeleg, we'll visit an artisan workshop renowned for Ecuador's finest filigree. You'll have some free time to browse the shop for souvenirs.
The final stop is a family workshop in Gualaceo, where you can see the process of weaving shawls and ponchos on antique looms. Locals use dyes extracted from regional plants for coloring these textiles.
After 9 full hours of culture and adventure, we'll return you to your hotel in Cuenca.
