Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cuenca at the scheduled time for this day trip to Ingapirca, Gualaceo, and Chordeleg. Our journey through the Ecuadorian highlands will begin with views along the way. After approximately an hour and 15 minutes, we'll reach Ingapirca, Ecuador's most significant Inca archaeological site. Here, we'll embark on a guided tour of the early 16th-century citadel and see the Temple of the Sun.

We'll have a lunch break at local restaurants nearby. Afterward, we'll proceed to Gualaceo and Chordeleg, known for their artisanal works. In Chordeleg, we'll visit an artisan workshop for Ecuador's finest filigree and enjoy free time to browse for souvenirs.

The final stop is a family workshop in Gualaceo, where we'll see the process of weaving shawls and ponchos on antique looms. The locals use dyes extracted from regional plants for coloring these textiles.

After 9 hours of culture and adventure, we'll return you to your hotel in Cuenca.
