On this trekking route through Cajas National Park, we'll walk in one of the main natural attractions of Cuenca, exploring the valley of Llaviucu and encountering alpacas.
Hiking in the Cajas National Park
At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cuenca and travel by minibus to the town of Sayausí, the gateway to Cajas National Park.
Upon arrival, we will begin our hiking route through the park, which features the Llaviucu Valley. We will traverse a millenary Inca trail and learn about the glacial origins of the area.
During the hike, notable spots include the Llaviucu lagoon, an abandoned German brewery, and meadows where wild horses and alpacas graze.
After a morning in Ecuador's natural landscapes, we will return to your hotel at 2 pm.
