Canyoning in Rincon de la Vieja

Ready for an adrenaline rush? For this activity, we'll be canyoning through Rincon de la Vieja, a natural space in northern Costa Rica.

Description

We'll meet at the scheduled time in The Hotel Hacienda Guachipelín, a popular accommodation at The Rincon de la Vieja National Park. This protected area is located between the provinces of Guanacaste and Alajuela, known for its lush landscapes.

After equipping ourselves with safety gear, including lifejackets, helmets, and harnesses, our instructor will explain safety rules. We'll then walk to a designated spot in Rincón de la Vieja for our canyoning adventure.

Our first stop will be at a waterfall within The Rincón de la Vieja National Park, where we'll practice canyoning and abseiling from various heights.

Next, we'll visit another waterfall to continue canyoning and abseiling. Adventurous participants can swing on a vine known as Tarzan's pendulum, and those desiring a refreshing swim can enjoy a dip in one of the natural pools.

We'll conclude with a walk back, arriving at the original meeting point approximately two and a half hours after the adventure begins.
