Canyoning in Rincon de la Vieja

Ready for an adrenaline rush? This activity involves canyoning through Rincon de la Vieja, a natural space in northern Costa Rica.

Description

We'll meet at The Hotel Hacienda Guachipelín, located within The Rincon de la Vieja National Park, between the provinces of Guanacaste and Alajuela. This protected area features lush landscapes.

After equipping participants with necessary safety gear—lifejackets, helmets, and harnesses—our instructor will present safety rules. Once prepared, we will trek to a designated location in Rincón de la Vieja for the canyoning adventure.

Our first stop will be at a waterfall in The Rincón de la Vieja National Park, where we will practice canyoning and abseiling from various heights.

Next, we will visit another waterfall to continue canyoning and abseiling. Those who are adventurous can swing on a vine known as Tarzan's pendulum. Participants who wish to can also swim in one of the waterfall's natural pools.

We will conclude our adventure with a walk back, arriving at the meeting point approximately two and a half hours after starting.
