The hot springs of Rio Negro are located in Rincon de la Vieja National Park, one of the main natural spas in Guanacaste. You can pick up the ticket at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin, situated 350 meters (a quarter mile) away. This involves a short walk through the Costa Rican rainforest.

At the Rio Negro hot springs, you can access all spa facilities until closing time. The complex includes 10 pools along the river, with mineral-rich waters that remain warm due to the volcanic subsoil.

The thermal complex also offers a volcanic mud bath, which has toning and exfoliating properties beneficial to the skin by purifying dead follicles.
