Whale Watching in Hauganes

After meeting at Hauganes port, we will board our whale watching boat and set sail around northern Iceland in search of local wildlife. The cruise will last two and a half hours in the bay of Eyjafjörður Fjord, where we will observe whales in their natural habitat. Our English-speaking guide, an expert in Icelandic wildlife, will provide insights about these marine mammals. If weather conditions allow, participants may also try to catch small fish that swim near the whales. Additionally, we might spot dolphins and porpoises during the trip, and learn to differentiate them. Complimentary coffee and Icelandic sweets will be served on board, which includes free WiFi for sharing photos of the whales. The trip concludes with a return to the original departure point.

It is important to remember that the whales, porpoises, dolphins and other creatures we seek are wild animals and their visibility is unpredictable. The number of species observed will depend on sea currents, wind, and weather conditions on the day of the activity.
