After collecting you at the scheduled time from your hotel in Dakar, we'll head to the city's port where a ferry will be waiting to take you to the captivating island of Goree. There, you will learn about one of the most significant chapters in the history of Senegal and the world.

After a brief journey of around 20 minutes, we'll disembark and visit the House of Slaves and the Historical Museum of Senegal. The island played a significant role in the Atlantic slave trade for three hundred years and is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, we'll walk through the colorful narrow streets and view the beautiful colonial houses of Goree. There will be a stop for lunch in your own free time before we return to Dakar on the ferry.

Upon arrival back in the capital, we'll take a guided tour through the historic city center. You'll see key locations such as Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, the markets of Kermel and Sandaga, and the city's cathedral. We'll also visit the Medina neighborhood, admire the Grand Mosque of Dakar, and explore Tilene market, known for Shamans selling charms and amulets.

The tour of Dakar concludes back at your hotel, about 8 to 9 hours after the start of the day trip.
