What to expect

At 9 am, we will collect you from your hotel in Dakar and drive inland toward the district of Thiès. After approximately one hour, we will arrive at Keur Moussa, an elegant Benedictine monastery where monks live and worship. Once there, you will enter the shrine and witness a genuine Sunday African mass.

Upon entering the monastery, the sound of Gregorian chanting will mark the start of the ceremony. Traditional West African instruments, such as the kora, balafon, and djembe, will accompany the singing.

After the mass, we will take you to the monastery's shop, where you can explore a range of handicrafts made by the Senegalese monks and purchase a souvenir of your trip.

The trip concludes back in Dakar, where we will drop you off at your hotel around 1 pm.
