What to expect

At 9 am, we will collect you from your hotel in Dakar before driving inland towards the district of Thiès. After a journey of around an hour, we will arrive at Keur Moussa, a Benedictine monastery where monks live and worship away from civilization. Once we arrive, we will enter the shrine to witness a genuine Sunday African mass.

You will hear the sound of Gregorian chanting that marks the start of the ceremony, accompanied by traditional West African instruments such as the kora, balafon, and djembe.

After the mass, we will take you to the monastery's shop, where you will discover handicrafts made by the Senegalese monks, allowing you to purchase a souvenir of your trip.

The trip concludes back in Dakar, where we will drop you off at your hotel around 1 pm.
