Description

Day 1: Dakar - Lac Rose

Upon landing at Blaise Diagne airport, you will be transferred to Lac Rose hotel for dinner and your first night in Senegal.

Day 2: Lac Rose - Saint-Louis

After breakfast, visit Lac Rose, known for its color variations. Observe wide beaches and filaos forests, and experience a salt extraction demonstration. You may bathe in the Pink Lake and visit the village of Retba before heading to Saint-Louis, where you will learn about its colonial history. Overnight at a hotel in St-Louis.

Day 3: Saint-Louis or Djoudi Park

If touring from April to October, stay in St-Louis to observe local fishing activities. For tours between November and March, visit Djoudi Park to see various bird species. Enjoy a boat ride on the Senegal River before a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city. Overnight in St-Louis.

Day 4: Saint-Louis - Langue de Barbarie

Travel to Langue de Barbarie National Park, located between the Atlantic Ocean and Senegal River. Overnight at a local hotel.

Day 5: Langue de Barbarie

Explore the Senegal River delta, observing pelicans, sea turtles, and more. Overnight at Langue de Barbarie hotel.

Day 6: Langue de Barbarie - Lompoul Desert

Head to the Lompoul Desert, where you will ride in a 4x4 vehicle to the haima camp. Enjoy lunch on your own, followed by an evening around a bonfire with traditional music and dance.

Day 7: Lompoul desert - Ndangane - Mar Fafako

Visit Ndangane and then explore Mar Fafako with a horse-drawn carriage ride and a kayak tour of the Salum Delta.

Day 8: Mar Fafako - Saloum Delta - Mar Fafako

Cruise through the mangrove swamps of the Salum Delta. Lunch at leisure, then return to Mar Fafako for the night.

Day 9: Mar Fafako - Bandia Reserve - Somone

Visit the Bandia Reserve for a safari to see wildlife. After lunch on your own, transfer to a hotel in Somone for the night.

Day 10: Somone - Dakar

Visit the lagoon of Somone and observe local fisherwomen before heading to Blaise Diagne airport for your return flight.
