This trip to the Saloum Delta National Park allows you to discover Senegal's natural beauty while enjoying a ride in a motorized canoe.
Saloum Delta Private Trip
After pickup from your hotel in Dakar, we will travel southeast to the Saloum Delta. Arriving at the fishing village of Ndangane, you will stop on the riverbanks where a motorized canoe awaits. These vessels are used by local inhabitants.
Once aboard, we will cruise through the Saloum Delta, where the Sine and Saloum rivers converge before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. During the ride, you will see landscapes with mangrove swamps and palm trees, along with various species of exotic birds, including pelicans.
Later, we will stop for you to eat at one of the park's restaurants, offering traditional Senegalese cuisine. After resting, we will visit a Niominkas village, home to a tribe related to the Serer ethnic group, who focus on fishing.
Our trip concludes with a return to Dakar, dropping you back at your hotel 11 or 12 hours after the start of the trip.
