This trip to the Saloum Delta National Park allows you to discover Senegal's natural beauty with a motorized canoe ride.
Saloum Delta Private Trip
After hotel pickup in Dakar, we will travel southeast to the Saloum Delta. Upon arrival at the fishing village of Ndangane, a motorized canoe will be ready for you. These boats are commonly used by locals in the area.
We will then embark on a cruise along the Saloum Delta, where the Sine and Saloum rivers meet before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. As we navigate downstream, you will see landscapes of mangrove swamps and palm trees and can observe various species of exotic birds, including pelicans.
We will stop for you to enjoy a meal at one of the park's restaurants, where you can taste traditional Senegalese cuisine. Afterward, we will visit a Niominkas village. This tribe, related to the Serer ethnic group, lives on the islands near the river and is dedicated to fishing.
The trip concludes in Dakar, where you will be dropped off at your hotel approximately 11 to 12 hours after departure.
