The Biosphere Reserve of Hurulu features various birds, turtles, and Asian elephants. Experience Sri Lanka's wildlife on this safari from Dambulla.
Hurulu Eco Park Safari
Pickup from your hotel in Dambulla will be at 1:30 p.m. A minibus will transport you to the Hurulu Eco Park, a prominent natural reserve in inland Sri Lanka.
The park's extensive area calls for an all-terrain vehicle safari. During this journey, you will observe diverse wildlife, including various bird species like parrots, hawks, and peacocks, as well as giant tortoises. Additionally, you may see the Sri Lankan leopards.
A break for lunch will occur where you can enjoy your picnic. The safari will then continue to a special area where herds of Asian elephants reside, allowing you to observe their behaviors.
There will be a stop at the Hurulu Wewa reservoir, which serves as a watering hole for numerous migratory birds.
The safari concludes at the park's entrance, followed by a return to Dambulla, arriving at your hotel around 6:30 p.m.
