The Biosphere Reserve of Hurulu is home to a variety of birds, turtles, and Asian elephants. Experience the wildlife of Sri Lanka on this safari from Dambulla.
Hurulu Eco Park Safari
Pickup is at your hotel in Dambulla at 1:30 p.m., followed by a minibus drive to the Hurulu Eco Park, a key natural reserve in Sri Lanka.
The park's vast area requires an all-terrain vehicle safari to explore its biodiversity, featuring bird species such as parrots, hawks, and peacocks. You may also see giant tortoises and, possibly, Sri Lankan leopards.
A break for lunch is included; participants should bring their own picnic. The safari then continues to a special area where herds of Asian elephants reside, allowing for unique observations of their behaviors.
The safari includes a stop at the Hurulu Wewa reservoir, a watering hole for many migrating birds. The tour concludes at the park entrance, followed by the return to Dambulla, with arrival at your hotel around 6:30 p.m.
