Hurulu Eco Park Safari
- 5 Stunden
The Biosphere Reserve of Hurulu is home to various birds, turtles, and Asian elephants. Experience Sri Lanka's wildlife through this safari from Dambulla.
Hurulu Eco Park Safari
Pickup is at your hotel in Dambulla at 1:30 p.m., followed by a drive to Hurulu Eco Park, a notable natural reserve in inland Sri Lanka.
To explore the vast park, an all-terrain vehicle safari is utilized. This route provides opportunities to observe various bird species, including parrots, hawks, and peacocks. Giant tortoises may also be seen, and with luck, you might spot Sri Lankan leopards.
A short lunch break follows (please bring your own picnic) before continuing to the area where Asian elephant herds reside, allowing for observation of their behaviors.
Also, a stop is made at the Hurulu Wewa reservoir, a watering hole for many Asian birds that travel long distances for water.
The safari concludes at the park entrance, with a return to Dambulla, arriving at your hotel around 6:30 p.m.
