At the park entrance, participants will board an all-terrain jeep to begin the Kaudulla safari. This area is noted for its biodiversity and special protection for birds, hosting numerous species. Following the safari, a lunch break is included, and visitors are advised to bring their own picnic. The safari resumes with the observation of Asian elephants, which are found in herds throughout the park. Participants will learn about these endangered animals from a distance.
In addition to elephants, the safari includes sightings of Sri Lankan buffalo and deer, as well as various Asian reptiles present in the park.
