Kaudulla National Park Safari

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Dambulla before driving into the interior of Sri Lanka. Our destination is the Kaudulla National Park: one of the principal ecosystems in Sri Lanka.

At the entrance to the national park, we will board an all-terrain jeep and begin our brilliant safari in Kaudulla! Along the way, you'll discover why this part of the island has been declared an area of great biodiversity and special protection for birds. Hundreds of wonderful species coexist in this beautiful corner of Asia!

Then we take a break so you can have lunch - please remember to bring your own picnic. With our strength back, we'll continue the safari by observing the Asian elephants of Kaudulla. The enormous mammals are grouped into herds distributed around different areas of the national park. As we contemplate these magnificent creatures from a distance, we'll know some curiosities about these animals in danger of extinction.

In addition to elephants, during the safari, we'll see other wildlife such as Sri Lankan buffalo and deer. Kaudulla is also home to an impressive number of species of Asian reptiles which you will also encounter on the trip.

The safari ends at the entrance of the national park, where a minibus will be waiting to take us back to Dambulla. We'll arrive at your hotel 5 hours later.

How does it work?

You will be picked up from your hotel in Dambulla and transported to Kaudulla National Park. Upon arrival, you will board an all-terrain jeep for the safari. A picnic lunch is required, as a break will be provided during the tour. You will have opportunities to view Asian elephants, buffalo, deer, and various reptiles native to the area.
Included: Hotel pick-up and drop-off, all-terrain jeep safari, and guidance on wildlife.Not included: Lunch (please bring your own picnic).

The tour lasts approximately 5 hours and will involve several stops for wildlife observation. Ensure your camera is ready to capture the diverse ecosystems and wildlife.

The meeting point is at your hotel in Dambulla at the designated pick-up time.
