During your visit, you will explore the history of the city from 1968 to 1972, including the period known as "Free Derry", civil rights, the Battle of the Bogside, and Bloody Sunday. This event marked a significant moment when the British Army committed mass murder in Bogside. Subsequently, the people of Derry, led by the victims' families, initiated a new chapter in civil rights history, inspiring many internationally.

The Museum of Free Derry is open daily at the following times:
Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 6 pmSaturday and Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm
