Penguin Island Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll set sail from the Puerto Penacho dock to the famous Penguin Island. During a one-hour trip along the Santa Cruz coast, you might see animals including Peale's dolphins. If the weather conditions are favorable, we'll encounter several species of birds and sea lions.
Once we disembark on Penguin Island, we'll enjoy a three-hour walking tour around the island, during which we'll see the large colony of Magellanic penguins. We'll also observe ancient relics, such as the lighthouse and the farm ruins.
The tour continues to the highest part of the island for excellent views of the Penguin Island Interjurisdictional Marine Park. Then we'll cross to the other side to see the colony of yellow-crowned penguins.
Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy homemade pudding with a drink, choosing between tea, coffee, mate, or chocolate milk. Finally, we'll visit the colony of sea lions and elephant seals before returning to Puerto Deseado, arriving at the departure pier at 1 pm.
