Penguin Island Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll set sail from the Puerto Penacho dock to Penguin Island.
During a one-hour trip along the Santa Cruz coast, you might see Peale's dolphins. If weather conditions are favorable, we'll encounter several species of birds and sea lions.
Upon disembarking on Penguin Island, we will enjoy a three-hour walking tour to see the large colony of Magellanic penguins and ancient relics like the lighthouse and farm ruins.
The tour continues to the highest part of the island for views of the Penguin Island Interjurisdictional Marine Park. We will then cross to see the colony of yellow-crowned penguins.
Participants will have a portion of homemade pudding along with a drink choice of tea, coffee, mate, or chocolate milk.
Lastly, we will see the colony of sea lions and elephant seals before returning to Puerto Deseado, arriving at the departure pier at 1 pm.
