On this tour of Ushaiqer, we will visit one of the oldest villages in Saudi Arabia and explore an authentic oasis rich in history.

Ushaiqer Village Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Riyadh and head northwest to Ushaiqer, an ancient village. The drive takes approximately two hours. Upon arrival at Ushaiqer, a World Heritage Site located at the base of a red mountain, we will walk through the village and learn about its history, over a millennium old.

Ushaiqer is historically significant for pilgrims traveling to Mecca due to its freshwater springs and extensive olive and palm plantations, providing shade from the desert heat.

During the tour, we will explore Ushaiqer's narrow streets and observe its traditional Najdi-style houses, as well as notable palaces and ancient mosques.

Additionally, we will visit the Al Salem Museum, established by locals to display their heritage, featuring ancient tools, embroidered clothing, jewelry, and weapons.

Before returning to Riyadh, we will enjoy a picnic lunch in the desert. The tour lasts about 8 hours, after which we will drop you off at your hotel.
