Kogi Indigenous Community Day Trip
At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Palomino and set off on our day trip to the rainforest of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. After a 1-hour drive, we'll arrive at the village of Quebrada del Sol. Here, we'll have a typical breakfast and be welcomed by a local guide who will share the history and customs of the community.
Next, we'll walk for 1 hour to the Kogi Mulkwakungui village, where we'll learn about the Kogi's traditions and meet the Mamo, the community leader. At 12:30 pm, we'll enjoy a lunch of soup, a main course, juice, and fruit. We'll then head to the Don Diego River for 1 hour of swimming before returning to Palomino at 3 pm.
2-Day Trip
For a more in-depth experience, you can book the 2-day trip. The first day includes the same activities as above, plus a chocolate workshop, a traditional farmer's lunch, and swimming in pools. In the evening, we will return to the village for dinner.
