Kayak Tour Details

We will pick you up from the airport, port, or your hotel in Doha at the designated time. The journey to the Al Thakira Reserve takes approximately 1 hour.

Upon arrival, there will be a brief introduction to the area's fauna and flora. Basic instructions on how to paddle and safety advice will be provided before starting the tour.

The 4-hour kayak tour will take you through the mangrove canals where you can observe herons, flamingos, and other local birdlife. Several stops will be made for photos and to enjoy the natural landscape's tranquillity.

Halfway through the tour, a 30-minute pause will be made at a small island within the mangroves for rest and rehydration. A snack is recommended for this break.

After the break, the return journey through the canals will continue, allowing further opportunities to spot local fauna.

Upon returning to shore, kayak equipment will be returned before the trip back to Doha, concluding a total duration of 6 hours.
