After pickup from your hotel in San Salvador de Jujuy, we will depart towards Calilegua National Park, located approximately two and a half hours away.

During the journey, we will pass through San Pedro de Jujuy and Libertador General San Martin, where our guide will explain the significance of sugar cane in the region and the history of the colonial haciendas.

Upon arriving at Calilegua National Park, we will exit the vehicle to explore the nature reserve, learning about its history and the various plants and wildlife present, including an introduction to yungas.

Protected since 1979, the national park hosts over 120 tree species, numerous ferns, and more than 400 species of mammals and birds, including toucans, tapirs, coatis, and jaguars.

We will proceed to the Mesada de las Colmenas area, where we will enjoy beautiful landscapes at an altitude of 1,900 meters (6,234 feet). Afterward, you will have time for lunch with your packed food. Finally, we will return to San Salvador de Jujuy, covering about 400 kilometers, with an expected arrival at your hotel 11 hours after pickup.
